In speed of the light, Tokki ran and ran as far as she could.
She stopped and walked slowly towards the edge of a cliff and right in front of her was a magnificent view of the ocean.
This ocean has the most interesting character; its waves would dance happily as the stars twinkle bright at night and it does exactly the same when the sun's rays hit it with their shine! When the sun sets down, the waters would turn into pastel colors one could ever imagine, but, when the sun rises up, it turns SO CLEAR that you could see every single specie and thing there is in the ocean- as deep as 10 metres down!
WOW.
Be. Very. Blown. Away.
The sun was setting down and, as predicted, the waters of the ocean turn into a marvellous gradient of pastels and swirls of those colors seemed to be marrying around into each other beautifully.
Tokki could just sit by the edge of the cliff to take in the grand and scenic view.
The atmosphere truly kept her in a state of calmness and all that she could do was to simply.. smile.
Two little birds landed by her to keep her company as they chirped away in a funny, birdy language. She peeked up and focused her eyes into the sky as she bit the right side of her bottom lip, she could see just two stars that have decided to appear into this young night's sky.
"Just like a star.." Tokki whispered beneath her breath and sighed.
"Tokkiiiiii...." said an indistinctly quiet voice shouted from afar.
Tokki turned her head around and squinted her bunny eyes and there stood by the bushes of the entrance of the forest was Concern Mouse! She quickly got up and brushed herself off, wondering how did she appear out of nowhere and hopped to her.
"What a surprise to see you here, Concern Mouse!" said Tokki.
Concern Mouse was catching up her breath and resting her hands on her knees as though she was chasing after Tokki all this time
"Yeah.." she paused and quickly took one deep breath "..I saw you at the Tea House and then you went running off in the wind, but I wanted to see you, so I followed you!" as she continued talking.
"Ahhh, I see. Tokki sorry to make you run out all the way here" Tokki apologized.
"It's okay, Tokki! It's really nice out here, I've never known there was a place like this! It's beautiful!" exclaimed Concern Mouse as she complimented the view.
So, they walked out of the entrance of the forest and sat by a log towards the view of the ocean, they carried along with them choke cherries and nuts they could find along the way.
Concern Mouse did not want to sit by the edge of the cliff as she was kind of afraid.
As they laughed and munched on their delicious snacks, Concern Mouse looked all lost and said she wished to ask Tokki a few questions.
"I have heard stories about you and I am just curious.." asked Concern Mouse shyly.
"..I was just wondering..how do you know when you truly love someone and how does it feel to be in love?" questioned Concern Mouse.
The adolescent night sparkled out youthful, happy stars and the sound of the crashing waves dancing merrily in the breeze could be heard. The picturesque view was the kind to keep anybody feeling melancholy and all that Tokki felt was her thoughts came off loose out of her body and settled laying out, floating right in front of her eyes.
Concern Mouse was just looking at Tokki as Tokki's expression turn into a gentle, admirable gaze, looking far out into the skyline of the never-ending ocean.
There was a quick silence for a moment, and then, she finally spoke..
"There is no other feeling there is in this world that you could possibly think of but that divine feeling of just Love. Love is patience. It's wanting to move in the same motion and drive in life with that person even after knowing so many sides to that person for a long time. Love is all about experiencing tough times and good times together, and once you come out of those times, then, this whole new feeling comes when there isn't a need to worry about anything else that is beneath the feeling of Love, where all circumstances suddenly appear small and, magically..nothing could get in the way of Love. Love is kind. It's the feeling of when you see a flying arrow that has been shot towards that special person, instantly, you just want to immediately jump right in front of that person and take that arrow for that person..."
Tokki paused and continued..
"..because.. that saying 'Love conquers all' is truly a feeling that comes to you when you understand how in Love you feel about that person. How you find it so silly when that person thought that person bought a bag of tea leaves, but it was actually a bag of seaweed or how it makes you scared and angry when that person risks jumping from rock to rock around a river filled with live piranhas. Yet, you still want to be in each other's lives and want to work it out...and that's simply it." as she talked almost choked up and stayed in silence for a second.
The two of them just stared into the night as the wide sky above them matured deep dark.
"Whoa. That sounds.. like nothing I've ever felt before. Well, not yet!" replied Concern Mouse.
Tokki remained her composure in her mind, cleared her throat and sniffled quietly, stood up and felt like the night was not getting younger. She excused herself and told Concern Mouse that she had to go for a long journey somewhere.
"But where exactly are you going?" asked Concern Mouse.
Tokki sighed and shrugged her shoulders.
"I have no clue!" said Tokki as she hugged her dear friend goodnight.
"..We'll just have to wait and see, yeah?" said Tokki as she playfully winked at her caring mouse friend and hurriedly walked back into the forest on to her journey home.
"..But I wanted to ask her more questions" Concern Mouse whispered to herself as she waved to her bunny friend goodbye
